Donate to SOS
PALM SPRINGS, C.A. (October 16, 2008) – Soldiers Organized Services (SOS), a prominent local non-profit organization, is now accepting online donations through its website (sosride.org), making it even easier for friends, family, and supporters of military service-members to give back directly to those that so honorably serve their country.
“Our men and women in uniform deserve better,” said Erica Stone, founder and director of SOS. “Through our online donation system, they will.”
Money raised online will be mainly used to offset the rising costs of gasoline used to transport stranded service members to and from Palm Springs International Airport and Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base.
Soldiers Organized Services (SOS) was founded in 2007 when Erica Stone, founder and director, encountered a stranded and injured Iraq War veteran in Palm Springs International Airport and decided to give him free transportation back to his base. Since then, 4000 service members and their families have been transported by SOS and its fleet of volunteer drivers.
Erica Stone can be reached via email at e.stone@sosride.org or by telephone at (760) 799-5488. To learn more about Soldiers Organized Services, visit their website at sosride.org.

I too would like to send out a big Texas “Thank you and God Bless” to this wonderful group of people. Our Marine heads back today to 29 Palms, and I want to let you know hou thankful we are for helping him get home for the visit. He gets in too late to get a return trip to base, but it is great to know someone has our back when it comes to getting our love ones home and back to base safe! Ya’ll are good people”
